What to send
A correction to a proof
The most useful mail we get. If a Verse Proof misquotes a passage, misreads a context, or gets a fact about an artist wrong, say so.

- What the text actually says, translation named
- A source, if the correction is a fact about the song or artist
An artist for The List
Finding artists who present scripture word-for-word is the point of the channel. The list is open, and it is short because we have not heard everything.

- A song or album where the text is handled whole
A song to proof
A song that quotes a verse, or borrows one, and you want to know how it holds up against the text. Champions welcome, not only problems.

- Whether the artist claims it is word-for-word, and where they say so
What happens
- Real errors get fixed in public. The proof is corrected and a dated line is added to its Corrections log, so the change is visible instead of quietly swapped in.
- Artists get listened to before they get a seal. A suggestion makes an artist a candidate. The seal lands after a full listen-through and a feature, not before.
- Songs get researched, not reacted to. Every claim in a proof is checked against the text and cited. That takes time, so a song you send may sit a while before it runs.
- You will not be quoted without asking. If a correction of yours changes a proof and you would like the credit, say so and we will name you. Otherwise the log just records the fix.
One more thing worth saying plainly. We critique songs, not souls. Mail that asks us to rule on an artist's salvation or motives will not get that, because we cannot see either one from a lyric sheet.
